Flat Fee Pricing Structure

The Flat Fee Pricing Section sets forth prices for drafting individual documents for use in an individual's estate plan. To estimate the fees you are likely to incur in planning your estate, add the individual fees associated with the documents you want drafted.

However, the fee schedule does not contemplate quantities of scale, or application of a sliding scale, which are oftentimes applied to individual client cases. Therefore, the cost of drafting an estate plan is oftentimes less than simply adding the total fee schedule rates.

Be careful not to be “penny wise, pound foolish.” Oftentimes, people who cut corners on the costs associated with estate planning end up paying far more in estate costs than they would have, if they had an appropriate estate plan in the first place.

Hourly Rate Pricing Structure

The hourly fees charged by Elder & Disability Law Advocates varies in relation to the professional undertaking the task. Every engagement begins with a written fee agreement setting forth the following hourly rates charged by Elder & Disability Law Advocates for any work it undertakes:

Attorney: $250.00
Paralegal: $150.00
Support Staff: $100.00

Retainer costs are the initial payment required by Elder & Disability Law Advocates before it will begin a case on behalf of a client. Although in some cases retainers represent an estimate of the total cost of undertaking a legal matter for a client, they are not an expression of the total cost of the client’s matter. The total fees ultimately paid by some clients are greater than the amount of the initial retainer paid. As the name ”hourly fee” implies, total fees are a function of the time spent on a matter, the complexity of that task, and which professional undertakes that task.
