Education: Attorney Kaltsas, a graduate of the University of Miami and New England School of Law, was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in October 1987 and to the Bar of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 1990.
Practice: Mr. Kaltsas practices as a trial and Elder Law attorney. Elder & Disability Law Advocates, a law firm founded by Mr. Kaltsas, is committed to serving the needs of the senior population and focuses on the needs of older individuals, people with disabilities, and their families. He represents clients in Guardianship matters, Estate Administration matters and other trials and hearings in Massachusetts Probate Courts. He regularly represents clients before state regulatory and adjudicatory agencies relative to Medicaid Advocacy and is knowledgeable and experienced in Comprehensive Estate Planning and Medicaid Planning.
Professional and Community Activities: Mr. Kaltsas is actively engaged in a variety of community services by providing high-caliber legal services and by participating in many charitable and civic organizations. He regularly lectures throughout Worcester County on Elder Law and topics of concern to the senior population; writes a monthly article that is published in many central Massachusetts Senior Center Newsletters; provides free legal clinics to many central Massachusetts Senior Centers; teaches the many “Elder Law” courses for the Worcester Public Schools Nightlife Continuing Education Program, is a member of the Friends of Worcester’s Senior Center Advisory Board, Worcester Senior Center Committee and the Commission on Elder Affairs for the city of Worcester, Massachusetts.
Attorney Kaltsas is a statutory member of the State Rehabilitation Council of the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, appointed to the council by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. He serves as Chair of the By-Laws and Nomination Committee for the State Rehabilitation Council of the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission and was a lead presenter at the 2009 Annual Consumer Conference for the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. Finally, Attorney Kaltsas has joined with WTAG in launching “The Senior Focus,” a radio show which airs live every Saturday morning and focuses on issues of concern to the senior population.
